Hi there, and welcome. My name is Mathew Ingram and I’m the chief digital writer at the Columbia Journalism Review in New York. This site has changed a lot over the years, but I’ve been writing here more or less continuously since about 2005 or so. I started it when I was working as a columnist for The Globe and Mail — a large daily newspaper in Toronto — because I thought I would put copies of my columns here, but then I got carried away blogging about the news and I’ve never looked back! Sometimes I write about the intersection between media and technology, and sometimes I just write about things that I found on the web that are interesting. Let me know what you think! And if you want to know a bit more about me, my bio is here (there’s a short version and a long version). You can follow me on Twitter, and I’m also on Instagram and Facebook.
